It is our great pleasure to announce that the 1st International Fabry Disease Forum 2026 will be held over two days, October 2 (Fri) and 3 (Sat), 2026, at the Auditorium of Jikei University School of Medicine in Tokyo.
Fabry disease is the most common of the lysosomal storage disorders and presents with a wide spectrum of clinical manifestations involving the cardiac, renal, and nervous systems, as well as otolaryngological, ophthalmological, and dermatological domains. Its management therefore spans multiple medical specialties. In recent years, remarkable advances have been made in therapeutic development, leading to significant progress in basic research, diagnosis, and treatment.
This Forum will bring together leading researchers from Europe, the United States, Asia, and Japan to engage in active discussions on the latest findings and future perspectives in areas such as basic science, diagnosis, treatment, and newborn screening for Fabry disease. We are confident that the outcomes of this meeting will greatly contribute to the advancement of Fabry disease research and clinical practice in Japan.
By welcoming participants from around the world, we aim to host a highly productive international conference whose achievements will ultimately lead to improved medical care and enhanced social welfare for individuals living with Fabry disease.
